About Us

Insight Health Services (IHS) manages the private speaking arangements and audio/visual productions of Drs. Ian Gawler and Ruth Gawler. Our long-term goal is helping people find health, inner peace and happiness in their lives using self-help techniques.

IHS supports and sponsors the lectures and talks presented by Ian and Ruth Gawler when they are away from Melbourne. It also produces the audio material and assists in the distribution of books that Ian and Ruth create, as well as sponsoring Ian and Ruth's professional development by financing their travel and expenses when it is necessary to work and study away from their home in the Yarra Valley.

IHS is committed to spreading evidence-based knowledge gained from both clinical experience and research. A holistic approach is intrinsic to the methods we encourage, often referred to as Integrative Medicine. Ian and Ruth are members of the Australasian Integrative Medicine Association and Ian is on the Board of their Advisory Committee.

We highly value the spiritual dimension in healing and wellbeing that is de-emphasised in modern Western medicine. This "spiritual dimension", is not necessarily religious but actually, a recognition of our interconnectedness and our personal potential for good. Insight Health Services aims to help people to bring an emotionally and socially relevant spiritual connectedness into ordinary daily life. Including caring for the Earth we live on, and all the life on it.

Professor George Jelinek
Our understandings are strongly aligned with the work of Prof George Jelinek in the field of Multiple Sclerosis, and we recognise him as a courageous pioneer and dedicated physician. More information about George and his work can be found on his website: www.takingcontrolofmultiplesclerosis.org

We would like to see all people in the world diagnosed with MS given access to the information that Prof Jelinek has gathered through meticulous research and interest in this field. This information is taught at his MS programs, some of which are held through The Gawler Foundation.

The Relaxation Centre of Queensland in Brisbane, is a great organisation led by Lionel Fifield, which has helped thousands of people over many years to find inner peace and happiness. Lastly, there are many extraordinary individuals all over Australia who have helped to bring Insight Health Services talks and workshops to the local people by inviting IHS and by organising events. They recognise the importance of sharing information about a healthy lifestyle in a culture that encourages us towards ill health. All these people recognise the importance of hope and a positive world view in the process of healing as well as having direct personal connection with people who have gained direct benefit from the work of Dr. Ian Gawler.
