Adelaide – 20th & 21st of March 2010

Both workshops include a highly practical blend of theory and practice. Ian is known for his ability to communicate clearly; with insight and humour. You will take home personally relevant information and techniques, as well as having had the opportunity to experience the benefit of being directly led in meditation by Ian.

These sessions are intended for a broad cross-section of people: those seeking good health and wellbeing, people committed to improving their performance in sport and at work, as well as those recovering from illness, health professionals and those caring for others.

The Meditation Day – on Saturday 20th March will be a balance of theory and practice, ideal for beginners and those seeking to deepen their understanding and experience of meditation. Ian will teach on Mindfulness-Based Stillness Meditation, which is the highly accessible method based upon good preparation, relaxation, mindfulness and stillness which Ian has developed and taught over many years.

The meditation teachings are intended for those who want to use meditation therapeutically as well as those interested in self- development , improved performance and spiritual practice.

Health, Healing and Wellbeing – on Sunday 21st March

This workshop will be helpful to people who are interested in preventing disease and being really well, as well as those embarking on, or already committed to a healing program. You will learn about the benefits of a healthy lifestyle, what that really is, and how to put it into practice in daily life. Ian will share some of the latest developments in Mind-Body Medicine, as well inspirational stories of remarkable recoveries and personal transformation.

Both workshops include useful, practical information for stress reduction and enhanced performance, as well as giving people the opportunity to directly experience the benefits of meditation.

Time: Both days will run from 9:30am until 4:00pm.
Venue: Basil Hetzel Lecture Theatre, University of SA (entry off Frome Rd).

Noosa, Sunshine Coast – Tuesday 6th of April 2010

Meditation & Imagery

The workshop will be a balance of theory and practice, ideal for beginners and those seeking to deepen their understanding and experience of meditation. Ian will teach on Mindfulness-Based Stillness Meditation and using imagery for healing and wellbeing. The meditation teachings are intended for those who want to use meditation therapeutically as well as those interested in self-development and the spiritual path. Ian is one of Australia's most inspiring speakers with a talent for bringing clarity and humour to some of life's most difficult problems and joyful opportunities. This is also a unique opportunity to learn from an expert about using meditation to manage stress. Valuable for health practitioners and those helping people with illness.

Brisbane – April 2010

Thursday April 8th - Evening Lecture by Ian Gawler titled 'Medicine of the Mind'.

This evening is for everyone interested in knowing more about how their mind works and how they can use it more effectively.

Ian will be drawing heavily on the Tibetan Buddhist science of the mind (he has been a student of the Sogyal Rinpoche for over 25 years), as well as the most recent findings in the neurosciences.

The evening will be an engaging exploration of how to bring the balance of intelligence, intuition and spirituality into daily life. You are bound to be inspired, gain insights and take home ideas and techniques which will enrich your life.

Ideal for beginners and those seeking to deepen their meditation, this workshop is a gentle blend of theory and practice.
